Steven and Ashley Lawrance for many years lead YHIGH - a significant Youth ministry on the Sunshine Coast! Suncoast runs a private Christian School and is part of the INC movement. Steven and his wife Ash, are leaders full of faith with a massive heart for young people.

Steven brings an atmosphere of faith and power. Steven belives that young people - though God - can have their lives transformed and make a real impact in the world for Jesus. We are so excited to hear from him throughout camp!

Who is hosting Winter Camp?

Winter Camp is coordinated by Life Church and hosted at Maranatha Recreation Camp. We will have volunteers from Brisbane South, Brisbane North, and Warwick, with children from all three locations of our Church present.

Where is camp?

All of Winter Camp will be hosted at Maranatha Recreation Camp, Yandina.

Please note you will not be dropping off or picking up from the campsite.

The site address is 275 Wappa Falls Rd, Yandina QLD 4561

This is the same site we attended for Winter Camp 2025.

This is a fantastic site with separate dormitories, showers and toilets for boys and girls; a huge oval for tribal wars; large meeting hall for our sessions; a full commercial kitchen; a massive dinning hall with enough room for everyone; basketball, volleyball, and tennis court; green space; there's plenty of space to hang with your mates!

Life Church has exclusive use of the camp site.

What are the dates?

July 9-11 2026

Camps starts on the morning drop-off on Thursday. We will arrive to the site early Afternoon.

All day Friday.

Leaving Saturday evening with a night time pick up.

With a Sunday Afterparty at Church in your location the following day!

Who is supervising?

Our dedicated team of volunteers will be on site all of Camp to manage activites and hang out with your children. Every volunteer will hold a current Blue Card (working with Children Check) and complete Life Church Child Safety training.

Some Maranatha Staff will also be on site for the duration of camp but not in a supervisory role.

What is the mobile phone policy?
Winter Camp is device-free

Please do not bring any electronic devices with you.

We want to make sure there's no distractions happening at camp for all of our students to experience God. There will be plenty of activities, games, and chill-out spaces all through camp. There will be no opportunities to be bored!

Any devices at camp will be confiscated to be returned upon arrival back at Brisbane South or Warwick Christian College.

This includes, but is not limited to: phones, tablets, ipads, e-readers, portable dumb/smart projectors, gaming consoles such as the Nintendo Switch, Handheld PCs like the Steamdeck or ROG Ally, smart watches and other wearables.

Please note there is functionally no reception at the camp site or on the road approaching it.

There is emergency landline phones available for our team in the office of the campsite. In the event of an emergency you will be contacted by a member of our team.

We will provide notebooks and pens for taking notes during Winter Camp.

If anyone uses a device, we may suspend them from camp and require a parent to pick them up from site.

What are we eating?

We have an incredible catering team who will be preparing Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and snacks for each day of camp! Rest assured, you will not go hungry.

(We've taken on feedback from last year and increased portion sizes in our planning).

Please indicate dietary needs and allergies on your registration form.

Maranatha Recreation Camp is a nut-free camp. Our catering will not have nuts. Some food may contain traces of nuts as warned by the manufacturer. Please do not bring any snacks containing nuts as they will be confiscated and disposed of.

Are we sleeping on site?

Yes! All three days + two nights will be hosted at Maranatha Recreation Camp. You'll be dropping off and saying goodbye to your child for a couple of days before picking them back up.

Brisbane South and North will pick up and drop off at Life Church HQ at 109 Golda Avenue, Salisbury

Revive Youth Warwick with have pick up and drop off at Warwick Christian College, 70 Horsman Road, Warwick

What are the sleeping accommodations?

There are separate boy and girl dormitories, shower blocks, and toilets. Each dorm has bunk beds with foam mattresses supplied. You will need to bring a pillow and sleeping bag plus any blankets or doonas you want.

Obviously Winter Camp is in winter so bring bedding that is going to be warm through the night! There is air conditioning in the dorms and the temperature will be set by our team.

Anyone caught in the wrong dorms or toilet and shower units will be immediately suspended from camp and need to be picked up by a parent without other warning. This will be reiterated during the initial camp orientation once we arrive on site and in your registration email

Can I bunk with my mates?

We will do our best to accommodate friendship groups in the dorms but due to the amount of beds in each room and what rooms we will be assigned by the campsite, etc, we cannot make any promises!

Are we leaving the camp site at any stage?

No one will be leaving the camp site at any time during the event. If anyone leaves site they will be immediately suspended from camp and need to be picked up by a parent without other warning. This will be reiterated during the initial camp orientation once we arrive on site and in your registration email.

Our volunteer team will remain on site at all times (i.e. no runs to Maccas on behalf of your dorm room)

Do I need to bring money?

As all food and activities are included and we are not leaving site, please do not bring money to camp.

All personal items remain the responsibility of the camper.

Can I make my own travel arrangements to camp?

Due to the logistics of arrival times and transport hire, all campers will travel via our chartered buses to camp.

As a parent, can I come to Winter Camp?

If you would like to join us to help in the catering team for a day or for the duration of camp, we'd love to have you! A current Blue Card (Working with Child) is required, these are free for volunteers.

How do I sponsor someone to go?

We have various sponsorship options below! You can cover a whole rego or part of a rego! If you would like to make a sponsorship payment other than the options below please reach out and we can send you our sponsorship bank details.
